The first annual Regional Human Trafficking Summit For Advocates Against Human Trafficking, hosted by a collaborative network of agencies, service providers, and higher education (including Penn State) in conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services will take place virtually February 9-10, 2020. Addressing this key community issue requires cross-disciplinary partnerships across victim services, higher education, public health, criminal justice, and community leaders, and this summit will facilitate opportunities to engage with others to reduce victimization of human trafficking. This summit will include Penn State researchers and partners including Dr. Sheridan Miyamoto of the College of Nursing, and CJRC Faculty Affiliate Dr. Glenn Sterner has served on the planning committee.
