Esther Prins, Professor of Education, and colleagues Tabitha Stickel, Ph.D. candidate, and Anna Kaiper-Marquez, Assistant Teaching Professor, published a paper on “Incarcerated Fathers’ Experiences in the Read to Your Child/Grandchild Program: Supporting Children’s Literacy, Learning, and Education” in the Journal of Prison Education and Reentry. The Criminal Justice Research Center supported part of this work through a 2018 seed grant award for the “Read to Your Child/Grandchild: Family Literacy for Incarcerated Parents in Pennsylvania” project.
