A new publication from the Understanding Incarceration and Re-Entry Experiences of Female Inmates and their Children: The Women’s Prison Inmate Networks Study (WO-PINS) and the Prison Inmate Networks Study (PINS) projects was recently published in Criminology. The article titled “In the eye of the beholder: Meaning and structure of informal status in women’s and men’s prisons” compares the informal status systems in three women’s prison units and one men’s prison unit.
